Way too short. The next book is taking too much time to come out. I just hope it doesn't disappoint. Too many times a series like this keeps trying to get bigger and bigger, more, more. If any one can pull it off, Rus can.
This is a couple of short stories. No, let me rephrase that, it's a couple of excellent short stories, with the second IMHO, being the better of the two.
Without giving away spoilers, we meet Doc in the second story at his place of work. In the first, a purely Russian twist on the 3 bears, and I like it.
A great little fix to keep you going.
I am an old soldier, disabled and long disillusioned that ANYTHING I was ever told to do while in service was even remotely honorable. The first short story really hit home, hard, but the SECOND one made me tear up...

I look forward to the next book!
Another great novel by D. Rus in the Alterworld universe. The stories tie up many loose ends in the series.
Nice fleshing out of the characters. Would recommend the read. Really enjoyed the doctors story. The first story was good.

This series is inventive and intense! I highly recommend this to anyone who loves both Fantasy and Role-Playing Games. Pulls you into the world and never lets go!
